The family of Louis Frias has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Louis served in the United States Army from Sept.1950 until Dec.1953. He was a Paratrooper and Medic in the Korean War. He was also a Golden Gloves boxer in the service. Louis was awarded the Korean Service Medal w/2 bronze service stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Medical Badge. Louis was honorably discharged at the rank of PFC.

After the service Louis began a career as a Storm Drain Pipe-fitter. He worked hard to support his wife and 12 children. He loved outings with his family. He loved his horses, dogs and relaxing with a cold beer remembering his twin brother Joe who passed 10 years ago. He loved talking about his service during the Korean War. He provided support to his fellow seniors in his neighborhood by taking them to get their groceries and transporting them to doctor appointments and to the senior center. He would help anyone who needed help.

He was married to his wife Rachel for 30 years. Though they divorced, neither remarried. Louis has over 70 grandchildren, 30 great grand kids and 20 great great grand kids.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.

Please post condolences to the National Link:
