The family of Richard T. Angulo, 66 yrs of age, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service for their Hero, we will be honored to do so.

Richard Angulo enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on March 28, 1969 and served in Vietnam until such time as he was injured by an explosion of a fuel depot his company had just captured.  A sniper shot the depot and caused the explosion and Richard suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns over most of his body.  On April 22, 1970 Richard was medically discharged under honorable conditions at the rank of Private.  He entered the USMC Reserves and served for many years and rose to the rank of GySgt.

After his active duty in the military, Richard became a Chef, and most notably worked as Head Chef for the Main Dining Room on the Queen Mary for several years.  He also worked for the Red Robin chain of restaurants as their Consultant Chef for new start up locations.  He would travel all over getting the kitchen set up, hiring and training at each new restaurant.  He did this until he retired.

Richard also settled down on a farm he bought in Idaho, he loved his farm for many reasons but mostly for the peace and serenity.  He suffered from PTSD and the quiet soothed him.  He also loved fishing and did that every chance he got.

Richard passed away on November 22, 2016, his 66th birthday of natural causes.  He is survived by 1 son, Brandon, and 1 daughter, Tara, 3 grandchildren and 10 siblings, many of which are military veterans as well.  Richard came from a very proud military family.
