The family of Marie Hagan has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to this American Hero. It will be our Honor to do so.

Marie was a loving and caring woman, as well as a very dedicated American and was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy.

Marie joined the Navy March 10, 1958. During her time in the Navy Marie became a dental Technician while serving.  Marie received an Honorable Discharge on July 1, 1959 due to getting married which was a requirement at that time.

In the early days women were discharged Honorable, if they got  Married or became pregnant.

Marie went on to serve as a Navy wife for her husband (who is honorably buried at Arlington National Cemetery and served 3 tours in Viet Nam). He passed from Agent Orange and suffered from PTSD at the age of 62)

After Marie's time in the Navy she then continued to work as a plumber through Civil Service at Camp Pendleton for 22 years. Marie was one of the first two women hired for that job previously done only by men in 1977.

After Marie retired from Camp Pendleton as a Plumber/Maintenance person, Marie began to enjoy Country dancing and was an amazing Chef!

Marie also loved her second career, working all the bike rally's all over the Country, selling the brand "Feelin Lucky" and ran retail stores all over the Country for the same Company.

Marie was also a very tough woman in her own right. Marie was once hit by a drunk Harley rider at a rally and didn't even bother with the police. She just went to the hospital at 3am and was taking money with an injured face by 9am. She was extra special, and tough as nails.

She was also a stellar Grandmother of 5 and had a Daughter Stacie who adored her very much.

Marie played Bunco with the same group of ladies and her daughter Stacie for 16 years!!.

Marie also had a passion for reading,  she read 10 books a week for her entire life. She was extremely cultured and educated in a multitude of ways, and most importantly,  humble and kind.

God took her gently as she napped like the Saint she was, in the way she deserved...

Marie leaves behind her daughter Stacie, and 5 Grandchildren.
