The family of John H. Hollis Jr. have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this WWII Hero for his service to our country. It is our privilege to do so.
 
John enlisted in the US Army Air Corp on 20MAR1942 and was honorably discharged on 16FEB1946 at the rank of Staff Sergeant. John served as an Aerial Engineer in the Western Pacific and was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
 
After his discharge, John worked as milkman, carpenter, studio prop maker and a studio construction coordinator.
 
John is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, 2 sons, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

1245 – Stage at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068, Church of the Hills  https://goo.gl/maps/ZvLvASJ1bwn  (please arrive quietly as service will be in progress)
 
1300 – Mission briefing
 
1315 – Flag line for Hero and family as they depart church services
 
1330 – Accompany Hero and family to gravesite for final military honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
