The family of John H. Senegal has invited the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to another of our American Heroes. It will be our Honor to do so.


John was born in 1927. He joined the Army Air Force as it was  called in those days on May 3, 1945 at the age of 18 yrs. of age. John served for 1 1/2 yrs and was discharged with an Honorable Discharge on Oct. 19, 1946. John was assigned to the 385th Battalion, as an Airplane Engine Mechanic working on P-51 class C airplanes.His unit was part of the famous "Tuskegee Airman" other wise known as the Red Tails. John was awarded the Victory Ribbon for his effort in the war.


After his time in the Army Air Force John went to work at McDonnell Douglas as an Aircraft Employee for 18 yrs. Upon his departure from McDonnell Douglas John decided to get into the lampshade business where he started and ran his company with his loving wife Elva for 50 yrs.


John loved watching baseball and basketball. He also liked dancing and going to Zydeco dances.


John leaves behind his wife Elva Senegal, Sisters:  Letitia, Mary, Ruby, Bessie, and Brother Joseph.
Also left behind are Children : Mary, James, Joseph, Nita, Elva, 11 Grand Children, and 12 Great Grandchildren.


NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

"Standing for those who stood for us"

 
You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
