The family of Thomas E. Miller has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Thomas E. Miller age 69 died on Wednesday March 7th, 2018 in Santee, Ca. of heart failure. He was born in Berea, Kentucky.

Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Navy sea bee’s from March, 1968 to Feb. 1975. He achieved the rank of E-3. He served in Vietnam & earned a company medal and Vietnam medal.

After leaving the Navy he went to work for the Rivera hotel in Las Vegas as a security guard. He also worked for the San Diego Zoological society and the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Thomas was also secretary-treasurer of Teamsters Local 481

Thomas is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosa Miller, his daughter Michelle Miller, his twin brother Donald Miller, and his older brothers William Broadus Jr, Conley Broadus and Sam Broadus. He is preceded in death by his sister Bessie Ballinger.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

12:10 Flag line for dignified transfer from family home to Ken’s trailer

12:45 Arrive at MMNC

13:15 Transfer urn to horse drawn hearse, funeral service with full military honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
