The family of Thomas M. Meadows has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Thomas proudly served in the US MARINES from1967 - 1969 and US NAVY from 1976 - 1993 his Rank was Yn 1.  During his service he had the honor of serving in the Philippines and also did two tours in West Pac.  Thomas served on the USS Constitution at the same time that his brother Harold was serving on the USS Kitty Hawk.  He passed from end stage severe chronic OPD.  He loved riding his Harley's

Thomas is survived by brothers; Harold and Randy.

Harold Meadows will carry the remains on his Harley and is requesting an accompaniment to the cemetery.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from National City to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1100 – Mission Briefing
 
1115 – Flag line for honorable transfer of urn to motorcycle.

1130 – KSU for accompaniment to Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr. San Diego, CA

1200 – Estimated time of arrival at Miramar.  Flag line for transfer to horse drawn carriage.

1230 – Flag Line for Military Honors and Funeral Service.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
