We have been invited by the family of Staff SGT Carlos Enrique Romero to accompany him from a private residence in San Bernardino to Riverside National Cemetery on Wednesday, 25 April 2018. (a distance of approx. 23 miles)  Shelter time is at 1415 hrs.

SSgt Carlos Enrique Romero enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1976.  He served in both the 1st Air Guard and the 2nd Armored Division and he served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1970 serving 2 tours in combat.

Mr. Romero received the following honors: Bronze Star, National Defense Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

After his discharge from the military Mr. Romero worked as a concrete finisher, truck driver, social worker and auto mechanic.

Carlos loved spending most of his time with his Family and listening to Johnny Cash.

He is survived by his Sister and 4 Sons

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from a private residence to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
