The daughter has requested the PGR escort and honor her father. We are proud to help honor this hero of the Greatest Generation

At the tender age of 14 Mr. Kilby enlisted in the Navy with his older brother's identification and that is where the trouble started. His older brother was 16 and legally able to join the Navy and was in the Sea Bees at the same time. After 2.5 years the fake ID was discovered, and Mr. Kilby was honorably discharged.

As time passed Sidney longed for the Navy and joined again this time legally with his own identification.

He served in the Pacific and made submarine nets to keep the Japanese out of the Australian waters also, he flew torpedo's bombers off of the Aircraft Carrier.

Mr. Kilby owned the Army/Navy store in Mojave.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will accompany the family and hero from Joshua Mortuary and Memorial Park to his final resting place in Mojave.
