The family of Ponciano Venzon has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Ponciano Galman Venson, 86, served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1980. His second tour was spent being deployed twice to Vietnam onboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). He retired after 20 years of service and earned several awards including the two Combat Action Ribbons and the Navy Achievement Medal.

After his service, Ponciano went back home to the Philippines for five years where he enjoyed being retired at the young age of 43. He soon became very busy by joining Freemasonry, Co-founding Saranay Producers Association for farmers, and Volunteering as an adviser for local public office. Always staying busy Ponciano decided to come back to the United States. He worked at several jobs, first at a 7-Eleven for two years, and then 10 years at Balboa Naval Hospital in the maintenance department. Ponciano loved to bowl and won numerous trophies in amateur leagues. Ponciano also enjoyed going to the casinos and playing slot machines.

He is survived by his wife, Filipina, daughter Carolyn, son Hamil, and 5 grandchildren.
