The family of Jeffery Williams Petersen, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.
 
US Army SP5 Jeffrey Petersen enlisted on 4/23/70 and served till 4/22/76.  Jeffrey was in the Signal Corps as a Communications Spec in the Philippines during the Viet Nam war.  He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
 
Jeffrey was employed by Wrangler Jeans as an executive for most of his career.  Upon moving to San Diego he obtained his Real Estate license and went into property management which he continued doing until shortly before his death. Jeff’s main hobbies were riding motorcycles and photography.  He enjoyed visiting his children in North Carolina and going on trips with his sister who also lived in San Diego. 
 
Jeffrey is survived by his 3 children; Joshua, Mathew and Ashley, 3 grandchildren and a sister Sherry Martin and her husband Dale.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. We will accompany the Hero and his family from the family home approximately 14 miles to Miramar National Cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

 
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
