The family of MM3 Sabino Rubio have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to our country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Sabino enlisted in the United States Navy on April 28, 1945 at the age of 16 and was honorable discharged on June 6, 1946. He was awarded the  WWII Victory Medal for his service. While in the Navy, he excelled in boxing and even made it to the Olympic trials.

Sabino was born in El Paso, TX, but settled in Southern California after discharge. He was a plasterer and cement mason, and worked on road maintenance for the County of Ventura. Upon retirement, he attended Oxnard College and received his A.S. in drug and alcohol counseling. He also coached boxing, soccer, football and baseball well into his 70’s.

Sabino is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, numerous grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
