The family of Tomas Garcia Garza has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Tomas Garcia Garza was born on 10 July 1934 and entered into Eternal Rest on 23 April 2017.

Mr. Tom Garza enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1956 and was honorably discharged as a SP4 on November 1958. Mr. Tom Garza’s duty stations included: Fort Bliss Texas, was transferred to U.S.A.R. Texas Military District. He had one tour of duty in Germany where he was sent to Beirut, Lebanon. Mr. Tom Garza was a Paratrooper with the C119 Cargo Airborne Division.

Mr. Tom Garza was a store clerk for major grocery store chains that included Vons, Ralphs and Albertsons. He was a store manager, then became a district manager. He was often recognized in the newspaper for his hard work and dedication and for the condition of the stores' presentation and high sales volume.

Mr. Tom Garza, as he went by, worked very hard and was a good provider for his family. He liked taking his family to Arrowhead Lake and mountains. He liked to travel, vacationing in many areas of Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Wyoming, and all cities of Texas.

Mr. Tom Garza loved serving his family, his parents and his Country.

Mr. Tom Garza is survived by his wife Nelda, his four children, Ruben, Dorothy, Cathy and Raul. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
   
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
