The family of Cezar Basi Carpio has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Cezar Carpio, 83, proudly served 22 years in the US Navy as a Torpedoman’s Mate Chief Petty Officer (E-7).  He was assigned to Naval Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

The Carpios are a Gold Star Family.  Federico (Cezar’s father) is a Purple Heart recipient, WWII veteran and a POW/MIA.  He never returned from WWII and his status was changed to “Assumed KiA/Body Not Recovered” in 1945.

The family has a long History of Military Service:
- Cezar’s four brothers all served and retired from the US Navy.
- Cezar’s daughter  is a US Marine veteran.
- Cezar also has a nephew that is actively serving in the US Navy, another nephew is a US Army veteran, another nephew is a US Air Force veteran, and a great grand niece that is a US Navy veteran.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the Church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
