The family of Lorrelle Rhind has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the Final Military Honors of their Hero. It will be our privilege to fulfill their request.

Lorrelle severed in the United States Navy from Oct 1954 to Sept 1960.  At the time of her honorable discharge she held the rank of Lieutenant (O-3). She served as a nurse in the South Pacific on Midway Island and in Hawaii at Tipler Army Hospital. She was one of the first Navy Nurses to serve in an Army Hospital. Our hero was also stationed at the Navy Hospital in Saint Albans, New York. . While serving, she was able to meet some celebrities on their USO tours, notably, Elvis and Jack Palance.

Following her proud service to America, our Hero worked as a pediatric registered nurse for 25+ years until her retirement at Parkview Medical Center in Riverside, California. She enjoyed camping and loved to travel with her kids and later took yearly cruises with her brother.  She loved to read and loved her pediatric Charges and Angels.

Our Hero is survived by her children: Janice Wilson, Robert Rhind, and David Rhind. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
