SHORT NOTICE POSTING!
Our good friends at Risher Mortuary and the family of CMSGT Max H. Walker have invited the Patriot Guard Riders accompany there hero to the airport. He will be to laid to eternal rest with military honors for his long-standing service to our country at Arlington National Cemetery. We are privileged to honor their request.
Max Walker entered the United States Air Force and served for close to 33 years as an Aircraft Systems Manager. He retired at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E-9). He received a multitude of commendations, medals, and ribbons over his years of service. To name a few include Meritorious Service Medal w/3 devices, Air Force Commendation Medal w/2 devices, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 devices, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ dev, Republics of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Our hero passed on 04 April 2025 and his wife, Susan Walker, preceded him in death by about six weeks on 25 March 2025.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral home to the airport, approximately 25 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please ride/drive safely.
