The family of Aaron Edward Hammon, 66, HT3, US Navy, RIDGECREST, 23 MAY 2025, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their HERO From Holland and Lyons Mortuary to Riverside National Cemetery Riverside, California on SATURDAY 23 MAY 2025. We are Honored to Fulfill their request.
Aaron Edward Hammon, age 66, of Ridgecrest, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home. Aaron was born on October 22, 1958. Aaron was the son of the late Marion and Toy (Nelson) Hammon.
After graduating from Burroughs High School in 1976, Aaron entered the Navy and served on the USS Mobile LKA11S for many years. After leaving the Navy, Aaron and Cindy, his wife of 32 years lived in Ridgecrest and Los Angeles. Cindy passed away in 2015 which left a hole in his heart. He later filled that hole with a new love, his Service Dog, Mary. Mary is continuing her service and has entered Therapy Dog Training.
In addition to his parents, Marion and Toy, and his wife Cindy, he was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Porter and Dorothy Sandoval (Jaime) and his brother John Hammon, all of Ridgecrest. He is survived by his sisters Linda Eberhart (Hank) of Ridgecrest and Barbara Hammon Brown of Redondo Beach, Susan Hammon of Ridgecrest, Aunt Arlene Johnson, Jan and John Whited, Carol Bennett all of Los Angeles and Steve Mattson of West Virginia. Aaron is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
Service will be held at Holland and Lyons on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1:00. Aaron will be laid to rest with his wife at the Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 2:00pm in Riverside, CA
