The family of LCDR Todd Michael Johnston, 58, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their Hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our Hero served in the Navy from June 1985 to July 2011 and was honorably discharged at the rank of LCDR. While serving, he was assigned to two submarines...the USS Whale for 3 years and another 3 years on the USS Puffer. He also served on the USS Blueridge, an amphibious command ship based in Yokosuka, Japan. During his 26 years of service, Todd received too many awards and citations to list. A total of 33.
Our Hero enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golf, cooking and his pets.
He is survived by his parents, Diane and James. He also leaves behind his daughter, Brittany, and his son, John. He will be missed by his sisters Kimberly and Karie.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from Temecula to Riverside National Cemetery, approximately 32 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
