The family of Senior Chief Petty Officer Duane Harte have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to our country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Duane enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served four years on active duty before transferring to the Naval Reserves. He retired as a Senior Chief Quartermaster on July 1, 1990 after 23 years of service. Duane served aboard submarines, destroyers and frigates, primarily as a WestPac sailor.
Duane and his wife worked in the family business for 42 years, originally working for his parents and then acquiring the business from his parents.
Duane was very active in his community, He was the chairperson of Santa Clarita’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission and was named as Man of the Year 2003 for the Santa Clarita Valley. He was also a very active member of American Legion Post 507, ALR 507 and the PGR.
Duane is survived by his wife, two daughters, a grandson and a sister.

You do not have to be a motorcycle rider or veteran to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in their cars. If this is your first mission, to to the initial staging area and you will be briefed by the R/C. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are in a car. Please ride/drive safely.
