The Patriot Guard has been asked by the family to pay Honors to this American Hero. It will be our Honor to do so.
Alice is part of the "Greatest Generation" and a part of History that is depleting more and more every day. It is important to hang onto this heritage and Honor all who made our freedom possible.

Alice served in the United States Navy from August 24, 1944, to her Honorable Discharge on July 16, 1946.
During that time Alice worked with Bell Aircraft with experimental test pilots, testing all sorts of aircraft. Alice came over from Buffalo, New York with the delivery of the first supersonic rocket. It was being delivered to March Air Force Base, (MARB) where she met a handsome young Major named William R. Wiggins.

Little did Alice know he was to become her husband. Once they decided to marry Alice had to separate from the US Navy because in those days if you were a married woman you were not allowed to serve, so she chose to spend the rest of her life with the love of her life.

She received an Honorable Discharge on July 16, 1946, at the rank of Yeoman 2nd class (YN2).

The family started to grow, having 3 children, Judy, Scott, and Barbara. Barbara was born with Downs Syndrome. That led to Alice and William working with a lot of different disabled programs. They also helped establish a few of them like ARC and a few other regional centers that are still around today.

Alice leaves behind her 3 children: Judy, Scott, and Barbara. She also leaves behind her 4 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Kristina, Bryan, Robert, 10 Great Grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her Husband Major William R. Wiggins, and her Great Granddaughter Elayna.

Note: We will be meeting off site and then proceeding to the residence. RC will have info at briefing
