The family of Eugene Uriah Bennett has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Eugene was born on 26 September 1934 and entered into Eternal Rest on 18 October 2019.

Eugene served in the US Army from December 1954 to December 1957. Eugene was a military policeman and was stationed near San Diego, transporting prisoners to and from Lompoc.

After Eugene left military service, he went to LA City College, and eventually transferred to Berkeley where he obtained his electrical engineering degree in 1964. He returned to school and obtained his first Masters Degree from Long Beach State in electrical engineering.  Gene worked in San Diego for the telephone company. He also worked for North American (before it became NASA) as an Aerospace Engineer. He then worked for Hughes Aircraft designing control modules for the Apollo space capsule. He then went back to school for his second Masters in Business Administration at UCLA and moved into management for Hughes Aircraft where he worked for over 30 years. He also obtained a third Masters in Marriage Family Child Counseling; he met his wife while interning as a counselor.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen, his daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Chris.
