The family of Milton J. Beope has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Milton served proudly in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was lucky enough to find three Calexicans also stationed on the same base. Gus Lopez, Hector Salgado, and Silver Martinez became his lifelong friends through their shared military experience.

Upon his return to the States, Milton settled in San Diego where he worked for Carnation Company, until it was sold. He later returned to live in Imperial Valley and worked for Volunteers of America, until his retirement. He was friends to many, especially those who struggled in their journey to sobriety.

Milton had three sons, who he loved deeply and was very proud of their accomplishments. Joe, who lives in Chicago with his wife Deanna; Nikolai, who is a professor of English at Imperial Valley Community College; and Justin, a businessman in San Diego.

Milton is preceded in death by his father, Pedro and mother, Julia, and his brother. Peter. He leaves behind his three sons, sisters, Gloria Mercado and Frances Beope, sister-in-law Gwenn Beope along with his cherished nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
