The family of Barry Wojciechoski requests the Patriot Guard Riders participate in their loved one’s services and military honors. We are honored to accept their request.

Mr. Barry Wojciechoski was born in California on 3 JUL 37 and passed away 13 AUG 23 in Lakewood, CA.

Barry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1954 where he was a Nav Syst. Mechanic/ 32150K APR Bomb and was honorably discharged in 1958 as an Airman First Class.

After Barry’s military service he worked at all the Long Beach City Parks. Later he was on the first crew of the newly formed Long Beach Parks and Recreation and worked there for over 30 years.  Almost every tree you see today at Long Beach City parks was planted by Barry and his crew.  After his retirement Barry enjoyed parking under one of those trees and reading the newspaper.

Barry was preceded in death by his son, Barry Jr; Barry is survived by sons, Gunner; Louie; Thadius and Vincent; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

You do not have to be a Veteran or motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All Patriot Guard Riders are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in their car.  If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed by the Ride Captain (R/C).  Dress for motorcycle riding or casually if you are in a car (cage).  For the sanctity of the mission and out of respect for the hero and family, no shorts or other inappropriate attire.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
