SHORT NOTICE - Sgt. Isaac John Gayo (Active Duty) 17 April LAX/Hollywood Hills

This is Part 1 of a 2 Part Mission.

United States Army, Sgt. Isaac John Gayo, 27, of Los Angeles, California will be brought hone on Monday, April 17, 2023 to be laid to rest.

Sgt. Gayo was one of the nine soldiers’ part of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army who died in a helicopter crash near Fort Campbell in Kentucky with 8 of his fellow soldiers.

Sgt. Isaac John Gayo, was born in the Philippines and enlisted in the U.S. Army from L.A. in 2019. He attended basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and then advanced individual training in Fort Eustis, Virginia. His awards and decorations include the U.S. Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He had been studying to get into flight school and learned that he got it about a week before the accident.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero and his family from the Airport to the Mortuary.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the Mortuary, please be there Not Later Than 1800hrs.

This mission includes an arriving flight and may have time changes due to unforeseen circumstances.  Please check this mission before leaving for any time changes.

1830 - Est arrival at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.

1835 - Flag Line for transfer of Hero from coach to building.
