The United States Navy and the family of Machinist’s Mate Chief Petty Officer Derek-Austin Thorpe Sr. have invited the Patriot Guard to be there as they bid their final good-bye to their hero.  We are honored to be able to participate.

MMC Thorpe was preparing for his retirement from the Navy after a twenty-three-year career, when he unexpectedly passed away at age 51.

A huge Dallas Cowboys fan, Derek is survived by his wife Mercedes and 6-year-old son, Derek, Jr.  Additionally, he leaves behind parents, siblings and several nieces and nephews.
