The family of James C. Couch has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them as they bid a final farewell to their hero. We are honored and privileged to fulfill their request.

Our hero served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1988 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Major. As a B-52 aircraft Commander, he flew 168 combat missions in Vietnam. During this time he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, six Air Medals, and a Meritorious Service Award.

As a civilian, James worked for McDonnell Douglas as a test pilot and MVSD instructor. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, and boating.

James is survived by his loving wife, Sandee, children Jamee and Geena, and four grandchildren.
