The family of Steve Taylor, Correctional Lieutenant, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
Steve Taylor began his service with Riverside County Sheriff's Department as a Correctional Deputy on 08 June 1995 and was assigned to the Indio Jail. In July of 1995, he was transferred to the Southwest Detention Center. On 14 September 2006, he was promoted to Correctional Corporal and transferred to the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside. In December of 2011, he was promoted to Correctional Sergeant and transferred to the Southwest Detention Center. On 17 January 2019, he was promoted to his current rank of Correctional Lieutenant and transferred to the Robert Presley Detention Center.
While on duty, Steve was exposed to Covid-19 and sadly passed away on 24 February 2022.
Correctional Lieutenant Steve Taylor is survived by his wife Lillia, stepdaughter, mother, sister, and brother.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.
