The family of Shawn St John Torres, age 51, has invited the PGR to honor their Hero, we are privileged to do so.

Shawn was born to Gilbert and Angie Torres on May 5, 1970. Shawn St. John Torres passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, February 28th, 2022 at the age of 51. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all that knew and loved him.

After graduating high school, Shawn joined the Marines and fought in the Gulf War. He served proudly for 3 yrs and 7 months and was honorably discharged at the rank of E-4. Awards and Medals Received// Honorable Discharge// Good Conduct// Combat Action Ribbon// Southwest Asia Service Medal (w/2 Stars)// Kuwait Liberation Medal Service// National Defence Service Medal// SCU Service Deployment Ribbon (2nd Award)// Meritorus Must (2nd Award)

He returned home and attended Law School and graduated from San Diego State University. He worked for Kirk & Simas for over 20 years, enjoyed crossfit, going to the movies, and was an avid gamer. Shawn had an amazing smile and a wonderful sense of humor.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Angelina Velasquez Torres, and preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Torres. Shawn is survived by many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, many cousins, and honorary nieces, Audreanna, Addison, Austynn, and Aiden Klein.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All P.G.R. members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
