The family of Fidel "Sonny" Ramirez  has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their loved one to his final resting place and It will be our honor to do so.

Sonny served in the United States Army from November 10th 1960 through September 3rd 1963 during the Vietnam Era.  Sonny was a Sgt at his time of his honorable discharge.  Sonny served as a helicopter crew member and was stationed all over the world.  Sonny was awarded the Air Crewman's Badge, National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

Sonny worked in the airline industry after his time in the military, as a high level mechanic. 
Sonny was a strong christian and wonderful friend to many people.  Sonny was known as the man who spoke his mind.

Sonny is survived by his 5 children and 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild and many other family members and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all and never forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying from the mortuary and standing a flag line at the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.  If you would like to go directly to RNC, please do so and meet us there.

0910 - Flag Line for Hero's dignified transfer to coach.

1000 - Arrive at Riverside National Cemetary

1030 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service and Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
