The family of Data Processing Technician Chief Petty Officer Lorenzo Garcia Gaspar has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Lorenzo Gaspar, 91, was born in Illocos, Philippines. He joined the US Navy in 1953 and served honorably for 20+ years.  At the time of his discharge he had attained the rank of DPC (E-7). A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Coral Sea. Upon retirement Lorenzo returned to San Diego where he continued to work for the Dept of Defense as a Computer Data Analyst.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife Nelly of 59 years, 2 children; Lorenzo and Irene Ann and 4 grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will have an accompaniment from El Camino Memorial Park to Miramar National Cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
