The family of Steven Drake Holton has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.

It will be our honor to do so.

Steven served active duty in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1985 and was in the reserves until 1988. Steven’s last duty station was in the Republic of Panama with Company B, Second Battalion 187th Infantry Regiment. Steven was an infantryman whose awards/citations included the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Marksman Badge with M-16 Rifle Bar and the Expert Badge with Hand Grenade Bar. He was honorably discharged as a SP4 (Specialist 4th Class).

After his honorable discharged from the military, Steven worked as a construction worker doing drywall taping for twenty-seven years and then worked in HVAC for about eight years.

Steven’s hobbies/pastimes included going on hikes and camping trips with the family, reading history books and then sharing his new knowledge with his daughters especially who shared in his interest. He also enjoyed lifting weights, working out in the garage or doing yard work with his boys.

Steven is survived by his wife Deanna and children Zuri, Jillian, Drake and Bennie. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and sisters Penny, Jennifer and Wendy.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
