The family of Ernesto Olivas, 89, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders attend his funeral services as he is laid to rest. We will be honored to attend.
Ernesto served in the United States Air Force 04/21/1953 to 04/20/1957 and was an Airman First Class (A1C). During his service at Keesler AFB he was an Aircraft Controller. When he served at Norton AFB he was a Warning Operator.
Our hero worked in the restoration business for 35 plus years before retiring. He moved to Hesperia, CA where he resided until his death.
Ernesto is survived by his wife, Rosemary, married for 51 years. He will be missed by his seven sons and one daughter, along with 19 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Ernesto is also survived by his brother US Army Veteran, Rudy Pedraza, one of our original members of the SoCal PGR. Rudy was in the group that escorted with me the VWF Heroes that came from the LA Coroner thru Rose Hills from 2008 to 2017.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
