The family of LCPL Alexi Gambo and the United States Marine Corps have requested the Patriot Guard Riders accompany their hero from the airport to the funeral home for later burial and military honors.  We are privileged to participate.

LCPL Gamboa was assigned to the 3rd Battalion 12th Marines 3rd Marine Division out of Camp Foster, Okinawa as a warehouse clerk.  He unfortunately passed away due to a motorcycle accident.

Gamboa enlisted into the Marine Corps in April 2023 and was promoted to his present rank in June 2024.  His personal awards include the National Defense Service Medal and a Navy Achievement Medal.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this active duty Marine.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying this young hero from LAX to Bakersfield, CA, approximately 124 miles, with dignified transfers listed below.  Please see the timetable below if you wish to participate in any portion of this mission.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please ride/drive safely.
