The family of LCpl Austin Ruiz, and the US Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the Mortuary to the airport for his departure to his home in Naples,Florida. We are honored to do so.
LCpl Austin Ruiz, 19, always dreamed of becoming a Marine. Upon graduation from Naples High School in 2015, Austin enlisted in the US Marine Corps as soon as he turned 18, and was attached to 3rd Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan. He served as a Combat Engineer.
LCpl Ruiz had been assigned for training at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, CA. He sadly perished in a training accident.
Austin had just became engaged at Christmas to his fiancee who he met while stationed in Okinawa. He is described by his friends and family as being a very friendly, happy guy, always smiling and helping others. He was also very proud to be a Marine.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and from the mortuary to the airport for his departure to Florida. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather meet at 2nd or 3rd staging, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
