AMERICAN INDIAN MEMORIAL ACCOMPANIMENT: SUNDAY MAY 26, 2019

ATTN: Anyone who would like to pay Honors to the American Indian, Alaskan Native and U.S. Islander Veterans please read this:

The American Indian, Alaskan Native and U.S. Islander Veteran has sacrificed for our Country with almost no recognition.

We are about to change that.

"THE GIFT is meant to represent the Nation's gratitude to the American
Indians, Alaskan Natives, and U.S. Islanders for their over 200 years of military
service. Rincon's Tribal Chairman Bo Mazzetti, himself a U.S. Navy Vietnam
Veteran, explains it this way, "For Indian people, whatever the differences in
geography, languages, spiritual or cultural practices, there is one common
value and that is to protect one's home and people .... Warriors are highly
honored and respected. That's why we feel strongly that our veterans deserve
recognition, a memorial, to stand with the other sacred monuments dedicated
to the many heroes who have served our country . ... "

The Native Memorial that we are bringing in will be for the "American Indian, Alaskan Native and U.S. Islander Veterans Memorial of the West", placing this on Hallowed ground at Riverside National Cemetery. These plans have been in the works for 10 years.

This will be the first American Indian Veterans Memorial ever to be placed in a National Cemetery.

There will be a another Memorial for the American Indian Veterans in Washington D.C. This will be a Memorial for the "American Indian Veterans of the East."

This will be for the American Indian Veterans Memorial to be placed permanently at Riverside National Cemetery. The monument will be coming down from Berkeley, Calif. and going to Riverside National Cemetery where it will find it's new home.

We will be meeting up at the Double Tree Inn in Monrovia to bring this Memorial to its final destination on the hallowed grounds of Riverside National Cemetery.

The blessing of the statue will take place immediately after the Memorial Day Service at Riverside National Cemetery, the statue is to be set up at the Amphitheater at 3:00 pm for the Blessing on May 27.  We will be bringing this Monument in a day early for set up.

The truck with the flatbed trailer carrying the twice life-sized statue will begin its journey Saturday, May 25th.  They will stop at a hotel in Monrovia for the night. We will meet up at the hotel on Sunday for transport to RNC.  If you would like to be a part of this momentous occasion then check out the time line below and if you can't make it to Monrovia and would still like to be a part of this meet us at RNC.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in accompanying this monument. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the monument from Monrovia to Riverside National Cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
