Stanley C. Bass, 86, USA, Korea, Riverside, 05 JUN

The family of Stanley C. Bass has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral of their loved one as he makes his final journey.  It will be our honor to do so.

Stan was born on October 6, 1932 in Laurel, Nebraska and entered eternal rest on May 23, 2019.

Stan joined the Army during the Korean war in 1951 and received an honorable discharge in 1953, obtaining the rank of corporal.

Upon his Honorable discharge, Stan met Mary.  Stan and Mary hit it off so well they got married in 1955.

Stan knew he now had to work so he got a job with the State of California where he worked for the next 25 years as a Motor Carrier specialist at the California Highway Patrol Banning scales, and later for California Bureau of Auto Repair, retiring in 1994.

Once Stan retired, he just couldn't sit around so he became active in Banning Jaycees, Stagecoach Days, Banning youth football, San Gorgornio Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Banning Volunteer Police Department.

In Stan's spare time, he and Mary traveled in their motor home and visited all 50 states.

Stan took a fall hitting his head, and never recovered from his head injury. Stan passed away on May 23, 2019, while residing in Banning, California.

Stan was 86 years old when the good Lord called him home.

Stanley leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Mary, 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
