The family of PFC William George Voll, age 78, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service to his country. It will be our honor to do so.

William joined the US Army in 1963 and served until 1969 when he was honorably discharged. He served one tour in Vietnam with the 173rd. Airborne Brigade.  William was awarded the expert rifle badge in both the M-1 and M-14 rifles but was most proud of his Parachute Badge.

After William was discharged, he worked for Pacific Bell as a lineman until his retirement.  William remained active with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Association and frequently attended reunions and informal get-togethers with his buddies whom he was fond of calling “Grunts”.

William had two brothers, one of whom preceded him in death and two sisters.   He was most proud of his two Daughters, Tamara and Jennifer, whom he raised as a single parent.  William loved to be surrounded by his seven grandchildren.
