The family of Richard Eugene Zimmer has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Richard Eugene Zimmer served in the US Army in Vietnam from May 17, 1966 - March 8, 1968.  He obtained the rank of SP4.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, CBI 1st, and the Army Commendation Medal w/v Device.

After his military service he joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department where he retired after 36 years.

His hobbies included Hunting, fishing, boating and traveling with his wife of 46 years, Judi.

He is survived by his wife, his son Jeff and his daughter Jennifer, and 3 grandchildren, Jackson, Jacob and Caitlynn.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
