It is an honor the family of Robert Lee Riggs invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his funeral and military honors.

Robert (Bob) was born 21 Jan 29 in Maywood, CA and enlisted in the Army in the late 40's. After the Army, Bob continued his service to his country and joined the California Army National Guard. In 1952 Bob's National Guard unit was deployed to Korea where he was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in battle.

Bob's love of country and the military continued throughout his life as he helped others through difficult times.  When Bob went to the VA hospital for medical issues he saw many lonely and depressed disabled veterans.  Bob brought many of these disabled veterans to Project Healing Waters and taught them the art of "fly" fishing.

Bob worked as a union plumber for 45 years.  He loved adventure and taking risks.  He enjoyed racing jet boats, water skiing, cruises, fishing, house boating on Lake Powell and anything to do with boats.

Bob leaves his devoted wife of 30 years, Jacki; children and step-children, Robert, Scott, Jay, Ted and Don and 10 grandchildren.

Note:  This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested all are welcome.
