The Family of MSgt Roy Kastner has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their Hero. We are honored to accommodate their request.
 
Roy Kastner enlisted in the USMC in 1938 and retired in 1958 achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.  Roy served his country during WWII, (Midway Island), Korea and Vietnam (as a civilian military contractor). He was awarded numerous medals, among them the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V.
 
Following his retirement from the Marine Corps Roy worked as a civilian contractor at the Barstow Maintenance Depot as a Quality Assurance supervisor. Roy enjoyed hobbies of fishing, golf and woodworking. He was also a competitive pistol marksman and a licensed locksmith.

He is survived by his wife, Sue , 10 children, many grand and great grand children and nieces and nephews.
 
Roy's life and service will be celebrated and honored at the Desert View Funeral Home in Victorville.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
