The family of Master Sergeant George Quihuis Moreno has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

George Moreno, 93, served in the U.S. Army in the European theater during WWII.  After the war he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in Korea and Vietnam.  George was proud to have served his country in its time of need.  A proud and gallant warrior, he ended his military career achieving the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8).

In his post military life, George worked for Solar Turbines then owned a small business.  He was preceded in death by his first wife who is interred at Ft Rosecrans.  He is survived by his second wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying this hero and family to his final resting place, Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
