The family of Domingo Tomas invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved one's funeral services and military honors. We are honored to accept this invitation.

While employed by the United Postal Service he served 4 years in the Army, 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry, Black Lions serving in Iraq.  Following his discharge from active duty Domingo transferred to the Army Reserves to continue his dedication to God and Country.  He was assigned to the 311 Expeditionary Support Command and deployed to Afghanistan in 2012-2013.  He was injured in Afghanistan and medivac to Ft Bliss Warrior Transition Batallion and in 2015 honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6).  Domingo earned the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one star, Iraq Campaign Medal with one star, two Army Commendation Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and National Defense Medal.

Domingo was a very caring person, with a special place in his heart for underprivileged children.  He started Korazon Kakao foundation that supplies children in Guatemala with school supplies.  He worshiped his time in the Army but found it difficult to reintegrate back into general society. Attending Loyola University, Domingo felt there were things students could learn from veterans, such as brotherhood and caring for one another.
