The family of John Wesley Hodge, 84, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero enlisted in the United States Army in June, 1966 and was honorably discharged in July, 1970 at the rank of Sp4, E-4. He served one tour in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Metal. While in Vietnam he was exposed to Agent Orange which caused him to suffer conditions that would eventually take his life.
Known as Jay to family and friends, spent his civilian career spanning 40 years in glass recycling management. His life interests were simple and focused on spending time with his family.
Our hero, Jay, leaves behind the love of his life, his bride of 34 years, Esther, and his stepson Omar Camacho.
