Our friends at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona and the family have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend a Hero's service and Military Honors, we are honored to do so.

Merlin J. Hubbard, known as Moe to his friends and family, enlisted in the US Marine Corps just before the end of WWII on July 10, 1945, he served proudly until his honorable discharge on August 27, 1946.  Moe was a barber and when his commanding officer found this out, he was immediately placed in the position of Senior Barber and enjoyed a lot of benefits in that position.  He spoke often of how proud he was to be a Marine and how this was a turning point for him in his life and made a real man out of him.

After Moe's time in the military he opened his own barber shop in the 60's, Moe's Barber Shop, which he had for many years.  Later he worked as a machinist and quality control inspector in the aerospace industry for both North American Rockwell and Douglas Aircraft.
Moe also loved baseball and loved to dance.

On January 9, 2018 Moe went home to join his loving wife Victoria, and is survived by four sons, Merlin Jr, David, Lenny & Jay, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and brother Verdell.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
