The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Angelo Joseph Orefice, 67, to attend the Military Honors of their loved one.  It will be our honor to do so.

Angelo was born November 13, 1953 and sadly passed recently just two days shy of his 68th birthday.

Angelo enlisted and served in the USAF from June 1971 to June 1975 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-4).  He served during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand, guarding the base and aircraft. He returned to the states and served at Beale AFB in California for the duration of his enlistment.

After he left the military, he was a motion picture Teamster in the movie transportation department, 38 years in Teamsters Local 399.  His first gig was working for Universal Studios driving the tram for tours back in the seventies.  He later became a production driver working on many well-known TV shows and feature films including: Knots Landing, The West Wing, Heat, Titanic, and Armageddon.

Angelo enjoyed many outdoor activities to include scuba diving, water skiing, dirt and mountain biking, hang gliding, and riding his 2002 custom Softail Deluxe Harley Davidson.  Angelo and his extended family were quite active in the local riding community. He often rode with his brother, Al, who is my friend and one of the founding members and former Road Captain of American Legion Riders, Chapter 507.

Angelo is survived by his wife, Christine, son Corey, step-son Derek and one granddaughter. Our hero is also survived by siblings Al, Rena, and Keith.
