The family of Joseph Mosley, 79, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors of their loved one as he makes his journey to Riverside National Cemetery.  It will be our honor to do so.

Joseph was born on 11/23/42 and entered eternal rest on 10/13/21.  He served in the United States Navy from May 1959 to November 1963.

After he left the Navy, Joseph worked for several aircraft companies that dealt in aerospace and defense technology that manufactured aircraft for civilian and military use.  Those companies included Learjet, Northrup Grumman, and Douglas Aircraft.  He as considered a specialist in his field for approximately 40 years total.  As a contractor with Learjet, Joseph spent approximately 10 years in Saigon working “underground” on special assignment. His location was unknown to the family during that time and in order for the family to get a message to him they had to go through the Salvation Army.   His sister remembers their mother receiving one phone call from Joseph while on assignment asking for roller skates.  He had a Vietnamese girlfriend over there and wanted to teach her how to roller skate.

Joseph was an avid reader.  He also enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, dancing, and restoring cars.

He is survived by son, Delano, daughter, Kimberly, and one granddaughter, Ashanti.  He is also survived by three brothers, Curtis, Johnnie, and Michael; and three sisters, Katie, Delores, and Patricia.

For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to the cemetery, approximately 10 miles.
