The family of Steven Dale Hankins, 54, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Steven joined the Navy in 1988 & retired in 2009. Steven qualified as underway Officer of the Deck, and earned his surface warfare officer qualifications. In July 2007, that’s when Chief Warrant Officer Hankins reported to his final duty station, training support center, San Diego.
CWO3 Hankins has been awarded the Navy & Marine Corps commendation medals (3 awards), the Navy & Marine Corps achievement medal (4 awards) & other various campaign & service ribbons. He received a total of 31 medals.

After retiring from the Navy, Steven was employed by the department of defense. He was a GS13, he was working at the training support center, San Diego. In his spare time Steven liked to camp with friends & family, and he wanted to travel more with his wife after retirement.

Steven Hankins grew up in Dallas, Texas where he married his lovely wife Tracey in 1988. Together they had 3 children, Heather, Nick, & Brandi. Steven is survived by his wife Tracey & his 3 children, many other family members, and friends. He will not be forgotten.
