We have been invited by the family of Samuel Jackson Arrieta, Sr. to be present as he receives his military honors.  We are privileged to do so.

Samuel Jackson Arrieta, Sr., 89, proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.  During his time served, from December 8, 1952 to April 14, 1954, Sam earned the UN Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Sam proudly earned the rank of Staff Sergeant before his honorable discharge.

After his military service, Sam worked for the May Co. Retail store as a supervisor for 29 years.  When he wasn’t working, Sam enjoyed playing tennis, basketball, and golf.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Sam is survived by his wife Lucy of 69 years. He was preceded in death by brother Daniel.  Sam will be deeply missed by his three sons Samuel Jr., Robert, and Mark; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
