The family of Jason Harmon, USN (Retired), has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their loved one at his services. We are honored to accept this invitation.  We will accompany our Hero and his family from the American Legion in Ridgecrest, Ca. to the All Faith Chapel on Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Ca. Upon completion of the service, will accompany back to the American Legion.

AMC Jason O’dell Harmon, 38, of Ridgecrest, CA passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. He was born in Warsaw, New York and raised in Joplin, Missouri.

Jason served his country proudly in the US Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He went to boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. Subsequent duty stations were Strike Fighter Squadron 94 and Strike Fighter Squadron 125 at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Ca., and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 9 at Naval Air Warfare Station China Lake, Ca. He participated in numerous Western Pacific deployments and campaigns to include Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He received the following awards and decorations to include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy good Conduct Medal (4times), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three times).

Upon retirement, Jason chose to give back to Veterans by working in the Veterans support and services field. It was very personally fulfilling for him to help his fellow Veterans. Jason was a loving husband and father to his children, Jason Harmon, Jr. and Delilah Harmon. He was also a great son, brother and friend. Jason was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, and spent many of his Sundays enjoying the game with his family and friends.

Jason was also an avid car guy, mostly 60’s-80’s muscle cars. He enjoyed being outdoors, shooting guns, 4-wheeling, riding motorcycles and ATV’s.

He is survived by his wife Cinnamon Harmon, their son Jason Harmon, Jr., their daughter Delilah Harmon; his loving parents Elmer & Betty Alvarez, Samuel & Patricia Solorzano, and Wendell Harmon Sr.; his siblings Wendell Harmon, Jr., Frankie Alvarez, Brandy Ortiz and Patrice May Hernandez; his six nieces and four nephews; and the many other loved friends and family that will help carry his memory on.
