The Patriot Guard will be honored to be present for the funeral service and military honors for SGT Myles Penix at the invitation of the family and the U.S. Army.
 
SGT Penix was a U.S. soldier in F Company, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
 
SGT Penix joined the Army in April, 2012.  Prior to joining the Army he served in the U.S. Navy from 2007 to 2009, during which time he served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
After enlisting in the Army he deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom/Freedom's Sentinel from August 2014 to April 2015.
 
SGT Penix is survived by his son Desmond.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
